(Casper) – As part of America Saves Week 2018, February 26 – March 3, 2018 Wyoming Housing Network is spreading the saving message and urging its network to encourage people to make savings a priority as part of America Saves Week.
The goal of America Saves Week is to get Americans to develop successful savings habits. This week is all about motivating financial action! “America Saves Week is a great opportunity to help people in our community to Set a Goal, Make a Plan, and Save Automatically. When you save with a goal it makes decision making easier,” said Wyoming Housing Network’s Financial Capabilities Coach, Marilyn Lojo.
Wyoming Housing Network offers several programs that can help Wyoming residents enhance their financial knowledge and skills to reach their financial goals including becoming a successful homeowner. These programs include: EARN Wyoming, Financial Foundations, and Financial Coaching. EARN Wyoming is a free long-term program that helps people achieve the goal of homeownership through financial education and coaching, and can even help with a down payment on a home. Financial Foundations is a free four-week course designed to help people develop the financial skills they need to reach their goals. Financial Coaching is an individualized approach with a customized step-by-step financial plan giving people specific tools and guidance to get them on the road to achieve financial success.
A local Wyoming saver said this about WHN’s Financial Capabilities Program, “Because of the EARN program, I am in the best financial standing I have been in for years, and I have learned so much valuable information. I am nearly ready to buy my first home, and I can honestly say that I would not have gotten this far without the EARN Wyoming Program.”
